HURRICANE RELIEF FOR SPORTS PROGRAMS THROUGH THE DICK’S SPORTING GOODS FOUNDATION SPORTS MATTER RECOVERY FUND
The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation is pledging $1,000,000 for a Sports Matter recovery fund that will support the rebuilding of sports programs in areas affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. The funding will go to supporting projects that enable or inspire sports participation, knowing that sports teams can be the kindling for rebuilding communities in the aftermath of natural disasters.
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO CREATE A QUALIFYING PROJECT:
- This campaign is for teachers in Texas, Florida, or Louisiana who work with communities that have been affected by Hurricane Harvey or Hurricane Irma
- In your essay, share how Hurricane Harvey or Hurricane Irma has affected your school, your students, and/or your community
- Make sure that you project is requesting resources for you athletics department.
