Athletes become the greatest versions of themselves when they set out to break their personal bests. Athlete Training and Health athlete, Mallori Sims, talks about why she chose to train at ATH and how it’s helped her take her game to the next level.
Mallori Sims has been working very hard at Athlete Training and Health’s South Houston training center with our expert coaches. Additionally, Mallori worked with the Human Performance team at the Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Sports Medicine Institute to help with injury prevention and working through existing injury.
Glenda Sims, Mallori’s mother, has been the #1 cheerleader and support system for her daughters volleyball career. Mallori is on the volleyball team at Westside High School and plays on the Houston Skyline Juniors volleyball club.
Glenda said the following about Mallori’s time at ATH:
“ATH has been amazing. Thank you all for being a part of her Phil 4:13 “village” [because] I truly believe it takes a village to raise a child. The ATH team has helped Mallori maintain her skills and endurance over the summer. Thank you for your selfless commitment to our children, our future. Also, hats-off and HIGH-5 to Coach Floyd he is a role-model for my Mallori, his presence empowered her to push beyond her limits.
Mallori did very well at Skyline Tryouts. Their tryouts demands 3 intense hours of exertion. When the coach spoke to us to offer Mallori a position she said, “we were impressed with you.” Skyline only has 2 teams for the 17 year olds and there were only three vacant positions. Out of more than 30 girls trying out for that position Mallori “impressed” them. She will be playing DS for 17U National (Black), a travel team.”
The game against Bellaire is coming up on September 26th and we know that Mallori will set some new personal bests and be a standout! We have to brag on her a tad and share her highlight video against Cy-Falls. Way to go Mallori!
We are honored to be part of Mallori’s path to excellence and know that she has put in the time and the effort into her training. We know that she will do great things!
